1. Yellowstone National Park
Of course Yellowstone Park is why most people come our way.
Yellowstone Getaway is so close to the park that a day trip into the
park is easy to do. The north entrance and park headquarters at
Mammoth Hot Springs are open year round.

a natural hot tub experience. Less than five miles inside the park’s
border is the Boiling River. Park rangers have created rock-rimmed
pools in which to soak, where natural hot water flows into the
Gardner River. Open sunrise to sundown!

Yellowstone National Park is home of the world-renown
Old Faithful Geyser.
Old Faithful is one of the nation's most visited
geological wonders and a trip to Yellowstone is both fun

Fishing in the area is some of the best in the West. The Yellowstone
River being the most popular along with numerous other rivers, lakes
and streams. There are several guide services available. You can
bring your boat or rent a boat to fish or to float and just take in
the views.
Rafting down the Yellowstone River is also an exciting way to see the
sights. There are several companies within minutes of the house that
give guided raft trips of varying length and adventure.
3. Scenic Day Trips
Horseback riding is also nearby. Taking off for a ride in the
backcountry of Montana is quite an experience. There are a few
guided horseback outfits near the house.
The first dude ranch in Montana,
The OTO Ranch, is also just a short drive and modest walk away. Here
you can see the original ranch nearly totally restored. We have a
book on it in our library.
Chico Hot Springs, with fine dining and its own outdoor mineral
springs pool, is a pleasant drive north through Paradise Valley--one
of the most picturesque valleys in Montana.
There are seemingly endless hiking trails inside and outside
Yellowstone Park. Behind the home is a trailhead into a vast
wilderness area.
4. Nearby Historic and Authentic Western Cities
The city of Livingston is 41 miles north of the house at the end of
Paradise Valley with many attractions including galleries,
restaurants and made-in-Montana goods. It also has a wonderful park
and fishing spot for kids.
The City of Bozeman is 23 miles northwest of Livingston and is truly
unique. It’s historic downtown with shops, fine dining and galleries
bustles with activity. There are museums, a college campus, and
boasts nearly every kind of store imaginable. Beautiful Bridger Ski
Area is about 10 miles out of town.
5. Four Season Availability
There are many activities all year long in Montana. The north entrance
to Yellowstone Park in Gardiner, Montana is open year round with
four-season activities as well. Yellowstone, in the snows of winter,
is pure, pristine elegance. The summer months are the most
