Here you can enjoy a morning cup of coffee or tea, a light lunch, or a good book on the cedar furniture or hanging hammock chair. In the spring and summer, you can hear a variety of songbirds making their way in and out of the majestic trees lining the front of the property.

 

Activity Corner

The Cuisine

The large, bright kitchen makes cooking a family affair. An enormous custom travertine marble island provides the perfect place to dole out kitchen duties—or simply to gather around. The incredibly well-stocked kitchen includes service for twelve, wide-slot toaster, coffee grinder and maker, electric grill, popcorn maker, Wolfgang Puck cookware, bowls, baking sheets, pizza pan,  blender, reverse osmosis water, and more.

Adjacent to the kitchen area is a dining area with a table for ten. Four bar stools line the island and a custom made cowboy bench with wide arms is tucked under the windows.

Cook's Nook

A variety of organic spices, teas and coffee, oils and vinegar and a gift basket of Montana huckleberry treats awaits you. Serve up your own Cowboy Coffee, with a recipe and pot for making it.

WHERE YOU WILL BE

Just 11 miles from the famous north entrance to Yellowstone National Park, Yellowstone Getaway sits at the foot of the Absaroka-Beartooth Mountains. Looking across the Yellowstone River to the Gallatin Range, see snow-capped Electric Peak towering to eleven thousand feet located inside the park. You can see clear to Yellowstone from the house!

THE ENTIRE AREA IS RECREATION AT IT'S BEST
Views are incredible, wildlife everywhere and activities nearly endless. Access great fishing and boating spots on the famed Yellowstone River just a short distance away. Hike onto the vast Absaroka- Beartooth Wilderness right out your backdoor. Sit back and take in the fresh mountain air in Big Sky Country-Montana.

1. Yellowstone National Park

Of course Yellowstone Park is why most people come our way. Yellowstone Getaway is so close to the park that a day trip into the park is easy to do. The north entrance and park headquarters at Mammoth Hot Springs are open year round.

 »Try a natural hot tub experience. Less than five miles inside the park’s border is the Boiling River. Park rangers have created rock-rimmed pools in which to soak, where natural hot water flows into the Gardner River. Open sunrise to sundown!

2. Blue-Ribbon, Prize-Winning Fishing

Fishing in the area is some of the best in the West. The Yellowstone River being the most popular along with numerous other rivers, lakes and streams. There are several guide services available. You can bring your boat or rent a boat to fish or to float and just take in the views.

Rafting down the Yellowstone River is also an exciting way to see the sights. There are several companies within minutes of the house that give guided raft trips of varying length and adventure.

3. Scenic Day Trips

Horseback riding is also nearby. Taking off for a ride in the backcountry of Montana is quite an experience. There are a few guided horseback outfits near the house.

There are seemingly endless hiking trails inside and outside Yellowstone Park. Behind the home is a trailhead into a vast wilderness area.
 

4. Nearby Historic and Authentic Western Cities

The city of Livingston is 41 miles north of the house at the end of Paradise Valley with many attractions including galleries, restaurants and made-in-Montana goods. It also has a wonderful park and fishing spot for kids.

The City of Bozeman is 23 miles northwest of Livingston and is truly unique. It’s historic downtown with shops, fine dining and galleries bustles with activity. There are museums, a college campus, and boasts nearly every kind of store imaginable. Beautiful Bridger Ski Area is about 10 miles out of town.

5. Four Season Availability

There are many activities all year long in Montana. The north entrance to Yellowstone Park in Gardiner, Montana is open year round with four-season activities as well. Yellowstone, in the snows of winter, is pure, pristine elegance. The summer months are the most frequented travel times so the other three seasons will give you even more solitude than ever.
